Overview
Mercedes is in the middle reshape his portfolio, and some of those changes may include the introduction of the SL Maybach class model. While the standard AMG SL Class convertible is a high-performance open rocket with lots of high-end equipment, a Maybach variant will represent the upper echelon of top-shelf luxury. Hence, you can expect a beautifully tailored cabin equipped with fine leather upholstery, plusher seats and a host of high-tech infotainment features. Soft-close doors, a luxurious air suspension system, and many of the luxuries found on other Maybach models are also available. We don’t know yet if it will be powered by a version of the standard SL’s twin-turbo V-8 or if it will use hybrid technology in some form. If the Maybach SL-class goes into production as expected, it’s bound to be a car capable of attracting its share of A-list celebrities, superstar athletes and other extremely high-net-worth individuals.
What’s New for 2025?
The Mercedes-Maybach SL-class will be the first of its kind, combining Maybach-level luxury with the white-hot performance of the SL. It should use its abundant luxury from 2025.
Price and Which One to Buy
Should the SL class get the Maybach treatment, we expect the trim level structure to be similar to the Maybach S580 and S680 hierarchy. The prices shown are our own estimates, but don’t be surprised to see the Maybach SL class MSRP higher than the AMG SL class price.
