A motorcyclist has filmed a group of young people hanging out of a 2004 Mazda 3 toll road driver while traveling on a Queensland highway.

The video, captioned “Average Day in Australia” by Reddit user JinsukeTheHa, shows two people with half their bodies hanging out the window of the sedan.

The driver can be seen driving at high speed past the motorcycle before the cyclist has a chance to catch up with the group of teenagers.

As the motorcycle reached the vehicle, a man in white appeared to extend his arm to greet, and then gave the motorcycle rider a thumbs up.

The teenagers retreated back into the car as the motorcycle pulled out and the black sedan continued along the highway.

It appears the incident happened on the Mount Lindesay Highway in Logan, near Brisbane.

follow news.com.auThe Queensland Police Service was not aware of the incident but claimed the vehicle was involved in the alleged theft of $15 worth of unleaded petrol on June 27.

The video did not go down well with Reddit users with one commenter posting “Average day in Australia??? Suggested correction: “BELOW BOGAN AVERAGE, on an unusually GREAT day.”

“This is why the road death toll is always high”, said another commentator.
