Mercedes-Benz is recalling 372 the examples Vito vans and related Class V people move because the fuel filter drain pipe may rub against the underfloor panel, causing a fuel leak.
The recall affects V-Class and Vito models produced in 2022 with the latest OM654 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel filter drain pipe may come into contact with the underfloor panel and become agitated while driving,” the company said in its recall notice.
“This can result in diesel fuel leakage and cause a noticeable fuel smell.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you should contact your nearest authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer to carry out work as soon as possible.
