Mercedes-Benz Australia remembering 1541 examples from him Class C to repair a manufacturing defect that could cause the front passenger airbag to malfunction.
This recall affects current generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class models produced from 2021 to 2023.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the front passenger airbag may not deploy as intended,” the company said in its recall notice.
“In the event of an accident, airbags not deployed as intended may increase the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you should contact your nearest Mercedes-Benz dealer to have the airbags replaced, free of charge.
