Hyundai Australia has announced it lists various using Ioniq 5 electric vehicle (EV) on its website, with plans to expand the program.

Early group of 23 ex-company and Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV customers are now available to buy on the Hyundai Australia website. They are for buyers in Sydney only.

Hyundai Australia has stated the pre-owned Ioniq 5s will be “expensive” and not subject to major additions due to high demand.

All used vehicles are pre-checked before being listed for sale, whether the remaining registration is still available or a new 12 month registration.

    • How Hyundai aims to meet the demands of the Ioniq 5

The majority of used Ioniq 5s have mileage under 10,000km, with all under 20,000km.

Local supply of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 has outstripped demand since it went on sale in October 2021.

The last drop of the Ioniq 5 is in February 2023 and consists of 170 new models – 48 Dynamiqs, 68 Techniqs and 54 Epiqs. The vehicle lineup also includes the Ioniq 6 for the first time.

As previously reported, the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 receives an increase in power and range as well as a new ride and handling package.

    • How Hyundai aims to meet the demands of the Ioniq 5

The price for Hyundai Ioniq 5 2023 is as follows:

    • 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Dynamiq RWD: $72,000
    • 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Techniq AWD: $79,500
    • 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 Epiq AWD: $85,000

All prices do not include on-road costs.

For the first two months of 2023, Hyundai sold a total of 176 Ioniq 5 models. It was outsold by the likes of Tesla Model 3 (5598 sales), Tesla Model Y (1231 sales), and BYD Atto 3 (1037 sales).

However, the Ioniq 5 managed to outsell the Kia EV6 (84 sales), and its platform mate the Genesis GV60 (41 sales).
